The Best Western Key Ambassador is located across South Roosevelt Blvd. from the ocean at the southeast end of Key West. Amenities include poolside food and beverage service, guest laundry, cocktail lounge, picnic area, courtesy shuttle to airport, local shuttle service for a nominal fee, and in-room refrigerators and coffee makers. The hotel offers non-smoking as well as handicapped accessible rooms.

Rates: $100 and up depending on room selection and season.

Assets: The Best Western is one of a very few options for travelers wanting to be ocean-front in Key West without paying high-end resort rates. Its location on the quiet end of the island is a positive for people  wanting to spend time just relaxing in the sun, or those wanting to get up for an early morning run along the beach. Although it is a three mile commute to Old Town, shuttles are available for a reasonable fee.
